A little bit sharp and a little bit sweet, a whisky sour is a sophisticated cocktail that's a staple for your repertoire. This recipe uses scotch but any kind of whisky works too.

      What you'll need
      
  - 50ml scotch whisky
- 35ml lemon juice
- 12ml sugar syrup
- A maraschino cherry
        Method
          
  
              Step 1.
            
          Pour the whisky, juice and syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice cubes and shake well.
              Step 2.
            
      Strain and pour over ice into a whisky glass. Garnish with a maraschino cherry.
